Commercial Concrete Crack Sealing

Northern Kentucky · Greater Cincinnati · Nearby Indiana

Help limit water and debris entry through concrete cracks.

Professional Sealants, Inc. provides concrete crack sealing for commercial projects. If your warehouse or facility needs crack sealing, send PSI the location, crack details and work schedule.

DEFINE THE SCOPE

Start with the condition, not just the crack width.

01

Movement

When a crack moves, it needs a treatment that can accommodate the expected movement.

02

Exposure

Water, weather, traffic and adjacent finishes also affect material choice.

03

Surrounding concrete

If concrete shifts or keeps deteriorating, it may need evaluation beyond sealing.

SMALL OPENINGS. REAL MAINTENANCE CONCERNS.

Limit water and debris entry before access becomes harder.

Open cracks can allow water and debris into the concrete. Proper preparation and sealing then help close the path. However, a surface seal does not correct the cause of cracking or restore structural capacity.

Include crack sealing in the maintenance or construction schedule while the work area is accessible.

Where the service fits

Suitability depends on project conditions as well as the specified system.

Commercial floors

Suitable cracks in commercial floors, including warehouses and industrial sites.

Exterior concrete

Commercial walks and exposed concrete areas, when crack movement and weather exposure permit sealing.

Repair & renovation scopes

Crack treatment coordinated with related details, such as joint sealants, coatings or waterproofing.

FOR ESTIMATORS & PROJECT MANAGERS

Match the treatment to the actual condition.

Resolve the material, access and sequencing requirements before work begins.

01

Identify the location & condition

Record crack locations, approximate length and width, exposure, visible movement as well as prior repairs.

02

Confirm the repair detail

Define whether sealing is suitable. Movement, leakage or displacement can also change the approach.

03

Prepare for adhesion

Remove unsuitable material and contaminants. Crack preparation, sealant depth and primers also depend on the specified product.

04

Protect the completed work

Coordinate access and allow the material to cure before the area returns to its intended use.

THE RIGHT SCOPE MATTERS

Crack sealing is one part of concrete maintenance.

Cracks are unplanned openings. However, control and expansion joints are planned details with their own requirements. So, joint fillers, flexible sealants and structural repair materials are not interchangeable.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Concrete Crack Sealant FAQ.

Does crack sealing repair structural damage? No. Sealing helps limit entry through suitable cracks. However, it cannot restore structural capacity, correct settlement or resolve the cause of ongoing movement. Those conditions need proper evaluation.
Should a crack receive flexible sealant or epoxy? The choice depends on movement as well as the repair purpose. Flexible sealants allow specified movement, while certain epoxy repairs suit dormant cracks. Therefore, the same material cannot suit every condition.
Will sealing stop every leak? No. Leakage can also involve other paths, water pressure or a wider waterproofing problem. Describe active leaks and surrounding conditions so the project team can define the required repair.
What should I send, and when can traffic return?First send the location, photos, approximate crack dimensions and schedule. Traffic return depends on the selected material as well as installation conditions and traffic requirements.
